Bainbridge Island, WA – November 2010 Freeze

Monday, November 22nd, 2010.  It’s dark – 7PM – and the power just went out.  Outside, the wind howls upon the walls, ducking into niches, overhangs, and under door seams.  It whistles.  It cries.  It tears apart the outside world.  With layers of clothing, I step into the storm in search for the power it has taken from my home.  This is what I find.

As the official wedding videographer and not wedding photographer, I had to stand aside from my passion and allow another medium come thru the lens.  In my overall project, I incorporated both still and movement into the film along with words and music.  Here, I present a few select still images.  Stay tuned for the final film.  View Lizzie & Kyle’s engagement photographs.

Photo Essay: RIP – Sir Howard of Fletcher

The greatest, most largest, most gargantuan red golden retriever has been laid to rest.  Sir Howard of Fletcher joins the ranks of eternal bliss.

At thirteen years old, Old Man Withers lived a beautiful regal life.  On his final day, a McDonalds cheeseburger and ice cream cone touched his palate like a king before two final injections sedated Howie and sent him to his final sleep.  We love you Howie.  You were the best companion!  XOXO
