Photo Essay: Bainbridge Island Boxing Club

I had the opportunity to shoot some promotional material for Bainbridge Island Boxing Club.  The owner, Ben (i.e. The Bear), is an ex-pro, coaching his students in both traditional boxing as well as Muay Thai, or Thai boxing.  It was thrilling to spend a couple of evenings with them, watching as they used every muscle in their bodies with agility and speed.  Next time I step foot in the gym, hopefully it will be without camera and only gloves.

She found… a four leaf clover! One who seeks shall find.
‘Tis that time of year to wander one’s backyard peering over and under the brush
Hot damn, I love spotting a cluster of radical mushrooms! For this I created a little black foam core tent, added a Profoto to camera left and pointed a PhaseOne with a Schneider 120mm macro glass at these specimens.
I love when a tree stands out, tall like a monolith, a representation of the ages still strong, still remaining, like a wise sage oblivious to it all.
